Do I really need an air receiver tank?
Yes. An air receiver stabilises system pressure, stores reserve air and reduces compressor cycling. Without a tank, your compressor runs more often, uses more energy and experiences more wear.
What size air receiver should I choose?
As a guideline: smaller workshops typically use 100–300L tanks, most screw compressor systems run well with 500–1,000L tanks, and large plants often use 2,000L and above. The correct size depends on compressor kW/HP, air demand and duty cycle.
Are your air receivers SANS compliant?
Our receivers are supplied to meet PER / SANS 347 pressure vessel requirements and are accompanied by identification plates and documentation from the manufacturer or importer.
Do you deliver across South Africa?
Yes. We arrange delivery to all major regions in South Africa and can export into neighbouring SADC countries on request.
Can I connect any compressor brand to these receivers?
Yes, provided the working pressure and connection sizes are compatible. Our tanks are used with FINI, Atlas Copco, Airstream, Budget Air, TryComp, Detroit and many other compressor brands.
How often should an air receiver be inspected or tested?
Many industrial sites carry out at least an annual visual inspection, with hydro testing typically every 36 months or sooner depending on site standards and legal requirements. Always follow your company HSE and local regulations.
